PaLaferm Insulation, 80ml

Stock Code:

Description

Palaferm was specially developed for the insulation of acrylics and acrylic models and is also suitable for the insulation of plaster.

A single coat painted on the acrylic produces a wafer-thin insulation film which can easily be removed again manually later.

BENEFITS

  • Only a single application necessary on acrylics
  • Rapid drying of the insulation
  • Formation of a thin insulation film
  • Protection of non-polymerised material from external influences
  • Insulation film can easily be removed from the acrylic

APPLICATIONS

All fields of application in which methacrylate acrylic applied in the laboratory should be insulated against acrylics, acrylic models, CAM models, acrylic crowns etc. and against plaster and a precise separation effect as a result of a thin insulation film is required. E.g. production of splints, drilling templates, framework models with modelling acrylic.

Application Instructions:

Warning advice - Contains highly inflammable solvents

  • Fully clean the model, removing wax and other residues.
  • Place the required quantity of material into a vessel.
  • If isolating resin-based models apply a single coat of Palaferm with a soft brush.
  • For gypsum models apply two coats of Palaferm with a softbrush. Wait for the first layer of isolation to dry completely before application of the second coat.
  • An optimal isolation can be achieved by even application onto a cooled down plaster / resin-based model. Palaferm dries within 2–4 minutes depending on the thickness applied and ambient temperature.
  • After complete drying, denture acrylic should be applied immediately. Be careful to avoid pooling
    and creating excess residue.

Advice
Dried out plaster models must be hydrated with water prior to isolation (depending on the dryness approx. 5–15 min). Wetting prevents air bubbles from penetrating the resin during the pressure polymerization process.
