Description

  • Medium Viscosity.
  • High Strength for Hard to Disassemble, Permanent Bonds.
  • DIN DVGW Approved for Use with Gas.

Weiconlock Threadlocking Adhesive is a high strength, high viscosity grade designed for sealing and locking threads, bolts and close fitting connections. It is particularly well suited for locking and sealing those connections made from passive metals such as high alloyed steel, aluminium, nickel, zinc or chromed metals.

This grade of anaerobic adhesive is manufactured in Germany by Weicon and offers a variety of benefits. These are expanded on in the sections below:

High Temperature Resistance.

A high temperature grade of anerobic adhesive. This glue will withstand continuous exposure to temperatures between -60°C and +200°C.

Fast Curing.

An extremely fast cure time. You can expect it to achieve handling strength (about 35% of final) after just 5 to 10 minutes.

Suitable for Use with Passive Materials.

Very good for bonding passive materials, even without the use of an activator. For most threadlockers, a passive metal presents an issue. At best, it will slow down and/or weaken curing. At worst, it will inhibit curing all together. This is not the case with Weiconlock adhesive.

This special type of adhesive is designed to work with these passive materials whilst still achieving fast and strong cures.

High Strength, Hard to Disassemble Joins.

Weiconlock adhesive cures with high strength for permanent bonds and seals. Strength ratings are summarised further below.

Specialised tools or the application for heat (200°C) will be required to disassemble joins made with Weiconlock adhesive.

High Viscosity.

With a viscosity of 700 - 1000 nt mPa·s (according to Brookfield at 25°C). Classed as a medium viscosity which means it will run a bit to fill smaller threads, but not so much that it is tricky to apply.

Able to cover gaps up to 0.15mm and is used on threaded joints up to M 20 / R 3/4“.
