RETENTION SIL SET

RETENTION SIL SET

Description

Retention.sil is an addition-cure high-performance silicone used to fix prostheses to retentive abutments. The special silicone retention.sil was developed for fast, cost-effective fixing of dentures to implants.

Retention.sil is used to produce a resilient matrix for the patrix implant abutment in the prosthesis. Three silicones with different degrees of hardness are available to meet different requirements for an individual matrix or pre-assembled ball head abutments. For better clarity, a set with Retention.sil 200 with 200 g removal force, Retention.sil 400 with 400 g removal force and retention.sil 600 with 600 g removal force is available with a bonding agent for PMMA and Multisil Primer (REF 52001004). The silicones are also coloured differently to allow you to differentiate between the materials used. Retention.sil 200 is light pink, Retention.sil 400 is medium pink and Retention.sil 600 is dark pink. The silicone compounds are available individually or as a set.

The product is used for fixing temporary (Retention.sil 200) or permanent (Retention.sil 400 and 600) removable restorations on implants.
At the discretion of the practitioner, Retention.sil 200, a very soft silicone, can be used to achieve gentle immediate loading after implantation. The implant bed can be gently loaded by using retention.sil 200.

Retention.sil 200 should be left in the mouth for no longer than 6 months.

Retention.sil 400 and 600 are intended as a permanent solution for implant-supported dentures. Practical dental experience indicates that a wearing period of up to 5 years is possible. We recommend replacing the silicone every 2 years.

Multisil Primer (REF 52001004) is used to create the adhesive bond between the denture base material PMMA and Retention.sil silicone.
